What is the Advice Café?
The Advice Café is a friendly, welcoming drop-in service held every Thursday at the Leatherhead Community Hub. It offers free advice and support on a range of important issues including debt, benefits, housing, mental health, employment, and more.
Whether you’re facing financial difficulties, need help navigating benefits, or want to connect with local support services, the Advice Café is here to help you.
Who Can Attend?
The Advice Café is open to individuals and families from the local community. No appointment is needed—just drop in for a chat, a cup of tea, and friendly advice.
What Support is Available?
At the Advice Café, you can meet representatives from a range of local organisations who offer expert advice and practical help, including:
- Debt and Financial Advice: Support with managing debt, budgeting, and finding solutions to financial worries.
- Benefits and Housing: Guidance on Universal Credit, housing issues, and accessing local benefits.
- Mental Health and Wellbeing: Confidential support, wellbeing courses, and peer groups to help with mental health.
- Employment Support: Help with CVs, job searching, interview skills, and training opportunities.
- Family Mediation: Assistance for separating couples to reach agreements on children and finances.
- Energy and Household Support: Advice on reducing energy bills, tackling damp and mould, and accessing grants.
- Social Prescribing: Connecting you to community activities and services that support your health and wellbeing.
