The nursery at Leatherhead Trinity provides a happy, secure, caring, and stimulating learning environment, where the achievements of all the children are celebrated and a positive attitude to learning is fostered. The children are curious, enjoy new challenges, take risks enthusiastically and are motivated to find out more about the world around them. A wide range of learning opportunities are provided to develop the children’s confidence and independence with accessible resources to allow the children to make choices, have some autonomy to direct their own learning and fully benefit from learning through play.
Our main focus for the children are the Prime areas of learning i.e. Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; and Physical Development. The specific areas are Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design and the nursery plays a key role in enabling learning and development in these areas.
