New Chair of Governors – Miranda Virgo (Parent Governor)

I am writing to let you know that I have taken over the role as Chair of Governors from John Swanson who sadly left as governor last month after 5 years of service at Leatherhead Trinity. I know that I have a lot to live up
to in his absence.

As a parent with two children at Trinity I have a strong link with the school and have seen many great changes made over the last few years, but as a governing body we know that we cannot be complacent and need
to continue to support Alison and her team who are always striving to improve the school still further.

I am really excited about the year ahead and already see some of the new initiatives Trinity is introducing through the school, which will improve the outcomes for our children. We have a committed team of staff and governors working together to raise the standard of teaching and learning even further.

One of my main aims this year is to expand the link between governors and parents and we hope to start having governor representatives for your child’s year group after the October half term. Please feel free to come up and talk to any of us.

We have a great school, and with the help of the staff, governors and most importantly you, we will
make it even better.
