- How we learn
Senora Smith
I have been teaching French for about 15 years, having trained as a Secondary teacher. I also teach Spanish and have recently returned from a really interesting Teachers Project in Spain for two weeks. We will be introducing more Spanish into school in the near future. I love to visit France and Spain and learn about the different cultures. I also enjoy walking my two dogs and being with my family. One of my daughters lives in Paris so it is great to go and visit her there. Au revoir!

Every month we choose a new language to look at. The children are introduced to the language and its country in a special assembly held by Madame Smith. They learn to say "hello", "goodbye" and "thank you" and in addition they watch videos and learn about places of interest in the chosen country. Each teacher in the school is sent a link to a website with more information about the language and its country and whenever possible the children are encouraged to use what they have learnt, e.g to answer the register.
